Asa Butterfield, 'Hugo' Star, Offered 'Ender's Game'

You might not know Asa Butterfield just yet, but the young star is about to blow up. Not only is he playing the titular Hugo Cabret in Martin Scorsese's upcoming film 'Hugo,' but Deadline reports that he's been offered the lead role in Summit Entertainment's adaptation of 'Ender's Game.' Based on the popular book by Orson Scott Card, 'Game' focuses on the aftermath of an alien invasion, when the government recruits "gifted" children to fight back against the extra-terrestrial oppressors. 'Ender's Game,' from director Gavin Hood ('X-Men Origins: Wolverine'), will hit theaters on March 15, 2013. Butterfield can be seen in 'Hugo' when its released next week.
